Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy has as a goal the maintenance of functional autonomy of our residents, in their movements but also in activities like nourishment, hygiene and communication.

The occupational therapist proceeds to a global evaluation of the residents’ residual capacities and, in response to the expectations and needs expressed, planning a series of interventions that aim:

  • Activities of daily living (dressing, hygiene, nourishment…)
  • Cognitive and perceptual functioning
  • Dysphagia
  • Mobility (specialized chairs, positioning…)
  • Skin integrity maintenance
  • Utilisation of control and alternative measures for fall prevention
  • Adaptations and technical aids
  • Architectural barriers
  • Elaboration of personalised therapeutic programs
  • Participation in interdisciplinary teams
  • Committee members (dysphagia, pain, skin integrity, control measures, etc.)

We are here to help you.
