Eating well is important for a healthy and extended quality of life. Our dietician meets and assesses each new resident, develops a plan and an individualized menu accounting for the resident's nutritional needs and state of health (diabetes, dysphagia) as well as his/her tastes, preferences, habits, and functional limitations.
Based on this plan, the dietary services team prepares a winter menu and a summer menu, each menu covering a five-week cycle. The individual meal trays are delivered to the units.
Different occasions are celebrated with a special meal or dessert (Christmas, Thanksgiving, Valentine's Day).
Dietary and other services work together with families to maintain optimal quality of service.
