The Grace Dart Extended Care Centre offers its residents a full food service department, varied recreation services and spiritual guidance service.
When we think of a long term care facility, the image of a medical environment where nurses and physicians are the only professionals present may come to mind for some people.
However, a long term care facility is mainly a home environment ("milieu de vie"), thus an environment where all professionals do their part to create an environment resembling as much as possible the resident's home, by offering nursing care but also allied health services who all collaborate to maintain autonomy and improve residents' quality of life.
